Staying cool

Hope you all are doing great and staying cool!  We had a quiet weekend here at home trying to stay cool ourselves.  Jayce has learned how to open the cabinets on the TV stand, and spent the better part of Saturday morning rearranging our DVDs.

The afternoon was reserved for playing with the balls in the kitchen

And who could resist playing with the tupperware and spoons!

YEAH!!!!

And of course some peek-a-boo around the kitchen table, followed up by a rousing game of catch-me-if-you-can around the dining room table.

Sunday, after church, it was over to Grandma's for some much needed pool time.  The water felt great, and you barely that it was 115 outside <insert sarcasm here>.

In other news: Jayce is now bink free.  For one reason or another, we decided that this weekend would be the weekend we took the bink away.  He has never been completely dependant on it, but was using it to occupy his time till he fell asleep at naps and bedtime.  The transition has been a bit difficult, and he does cry more when we leave him in his crib at naps and bed, but usually not longer than 5 minutes (with bedtime being the worst).  

Also, I know I have been promising pictures of the nursery, so below is one of at least the paint color.  I did manage to get the mural done this weekend, but didn't take any pictures (aside from a few on my phone), so will have to try and get that done this week to show you all.  So excited, it turned out great!
