Ah hem….

Just a *small* announcement to make here...

That's right folks! We are over the moon excited to announce that we will be expanding our family one more time this Spring!  Though when asked, J says we will have four babies, I can assure you there is only one to be had this time…and in all likelihood, this will be our final baby, sorry J.  And to head off any further questions, it remains up in the air at the moment, but barring any drastic changes in our current lives (or slip up by the U/S techs), the sex of this child will remain a surprise until the birth as well (much to Justin's dismay).  Though, when questioned, J says the baby is a girl…who knows, kid's got a 50/50 chance!

The rest of this week has seemingly flown by.  Mostly because I feel like I am still playing catch up from the weekend away, and J has been less than helpful in the "letting mommy sleep in" game.

Thursday we had our out of town family over for dinner, and sadly I was too busy or involved in conversations and enjoying myself that I didn't pick up my camera until just before everyone left.

Friday morning, bright and early, J and I woke up and headed over to the zoo.  I signed him up for the Breakfast at the Zoo morning.  We got to have a light breakfast there, and learn about turtles and tortoises with various games and crafts.  Then we got to go INTO the tortoise habitat and FEED them their breakfast!  J is still talking about that morning (thankfully more than he talks about his cat boo boo now).  After we were done feeding the tortoises, J wanted to cruise the zoo and look at all the animals.  Unfortunately for him, this mama was super hot (it was already 95 outside at 9am) and super tired.  So we compromised and bought a ticket for the zoo "train" and got a brief tour of the zoo and saw most of the animals in the process.

that's Lola she weights 220+ lbs and was J's favorite
she followed him around looking for more food

that's Big Al - she weighs 650+ lbs

After the zoo it was over to Grandma's to pick up A, and home for naps.   Thankfully both kids were exhausted and slept for 3 hours! Simultaneously!  It was glorious.  After naps it was play time with the tunnel before dinner and bed.

Saturday morning started out quiet with some outside play time before naps.  The weather had cooled off, though was quite humid, with the promise of rain later.  The kids loved being outside, and it was quite the battle to move them inside when it was time.  J's nap was cut short when the massive monsoon hit our area.  And by massive I mean torrential downpour and winds up to 65 mph.  It was loud enough to wake him up, which was a first.  When the rain had settled a bit, and A woke from her nap (she sleeps like the dead most of the time), we headed over to a friend's house for their 2nd Birthday party.  On the way we saw lots of downed trees blocking the roads - thankful we weren't out in the brunt of the storm.  That night, probably thanks to the quarter of a cupcake she had, A was up and ready to party.  We weren't able to get her calm and quiet enough to go to bed until almost 830 (she's usually asleep by 7)

This morning we headed over to Aunt Barb's for breakfast and the first half of the Bears game.  The kids got to play outside with the Aunts and Uncles too.  It was an exciting first half, but unfortunately by half time it was time for their naps so we headed home (and apparently the Bears did too…because from what I hear, they didn't show up for the second half… maybe they needed naps too)

Until next week friends.  Wishing you a fun and happy week!
