Recovering

So the J man is doing great.  We had a few rough days immediately after the surgery, but now you'd never know anything had happened.  He is pretty much off all pain meds, and back to his usual charming self.  He will have the catheter removed on Wednesday.  Then we will start solids!!! So stay tuned for some fun and messy pics to come!

At our last dr appointment, the doc OK-ed a small amount of water a day in a sippy cup to start learning how to hold and drink from one...it is a learning process - the first few attempts he was quite surprised when the water came out...kinda funny to watch.

Chris and Natalie were in town for a brief visit this weekend and so amazingly made a little bit of time for us to visit with them!  It was so good to see the two of them.

He is doing an amazing job rolling over and sitting on his own. He is even starting to stand on his own (granted we put him in these positions, but he is holding them on his own, at least briefly).

Jayce still isn't crawling yet, but still rolling all over the place.  I swear the amount of ground he can cover without crawling is amazing....we are in for some big trouble in the coming weeks...and the dogs are in for a rude awakening...

That's it for now. Will post again when we have the time.  And yes, Jayce is starting to chunk out, though I also think he is nearing another growth spurt where he will stretch out again.

...and as I asked earlier, please keep my Grandpa and the family in your thoughts and prayers.
