Daaa Bears

So Christmas is apparently Tuesday.  Which is super hard to come to terms with.  This year, for all the ups and downs, has just flown by.  It's amazing that in one week 2012 will be over (and that the world did not end last week).

Jayce is doing great, battling a bit of a cold.  A cold that I'm fairly certain he picked up at Daycare, and was then kind enough to bring home to share with Justin and me.  Woo Hoo.  We are one stuffed up family right now.  Though it has introduced Jayce to something new and fun...Kleenex! Oh man, is that fun to rip apart and throw around the living room (don't worry, these were clean, unused ones).

He's a bit aware that something is going on, we are out and about a lot more, doing some fun and festive things.  This weekend we bundled him up after bath time and took a walk through the neighborhood to look at the neighbors Christmas Lights.  We took the dogs, who proceeded to go nuts when we came up to the Santa rocking out on a tractor, and again with the 20ft Santa.

Friday we were out late having dinner with Uncle Chris, Grandma, and Grandpa.  Saturday we were at Grandmas house later than usual having dinner with the cousins.  The today was the icing on the cake.  Uncle Allen had a friend with tickets to the Cardinals v. Bears game that they weren't going to use.  So him, Uncle Chris, Grandma, and Aunt Barb were going to go.  Then last minute some stuff came up with Uncle Allen, so Jayce and I used his tickets.  He got to see his very first professional foot ball game, and tailgate a bit before hand too! He did great, made friends with the people around us (at least until he started throwing the empty beer bottles and almost hitting them, or pulling the women's hair; fortunately they thought he was cute enough to forgive).  And to top it all off, the Bears dominated the game!  Woo Hoo! (though the Cardinals did have two amazing plays, it just wasn't enough).

Now he's sound asleep in his bed, and hopefully he feels better in the morning.  He has NO IDEA what is to come these next few days; but man are Justin and I excited for his first CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
