This week was full of lots of play time, a little swimming, and a trip north to the pumpkin patch!
J made it almost all the way down stairs for a night time snack before deciding he was too tired….
This may be a glimpse 13-14 years into the future….
B has been is normal, sweet cuddly self….provided the mama (aka: the food source) can be seen/smelled (I seem to exude eu de spilled milk lately)
The big littles soaked up a little pool time with visiting family before the rain storms rolled in.
And we timed our trip to the pumpkin patch perfectly! Score one for us! We arrived about 30 min before they opened, giving enough time for B to nurse while J and A enjoyed their picnic lunch in the cargo area of the 4Runner before heading into the festival.
We enjoyed a little hunt through the corn maze...
…managed to snag one (and some how the FIRST and only so far) family picture as a family of 5...
…the bigs explored the petting zoo...
…and rode the ponies...
…and J-man killed it on the inflatable slides...
…J and A tried to battle it out America Gladiator style...
…add a hay ride and some face painting...
…and top it off with some mutton busting' and I'd say it was one heck of a great day. We managed to avoid any major rain storms while there, but drove through some pretty heavy rain en route to Grandma's for dinner.
The rest of the weekend was survival mode, with today being the most challenging, confidence crushing of them all. Miss A was up before the sun, waking both me and B…and then crashed into grumpy town around 9am. Thank God for Grandma's because she swooped in to the rescue and took the two out on a walk while I put B down for a much needed nap, cleaned a sink full of neglected dishes, and scrubbed dried soap chunks off the downstairs bathroom sink (the kids are big on washing their hands multiple times a day…for no reason…but aren't the greatest at getting soap from the dispense to their hands on the first squirt).
I leave you now with a pic of J, showing you all how it is we feed our babies here.
