What. A. Week.

Let me preface this by saying, it is such a challenge to get the kids out of the house by myself, but man am I starting to go a little stir crazy.  Monday morning we loaded up (an hour long process in and of itself) and headed to a local park to feed some ducks and play on the playground. Once the initial battles of getting the kids in the car were over, everyone was pretty happy to be out of the house and enjoying the overcast day, B included - he happily slept in the sling the entire time.

Wednesday brought Grandma's return home!  AND she brought Aunt Sandy with her!  After naps we headed over to Aunt Barb's house to welcome them all and have dinner.

This week also brought some big changes for Miss A.  She recently learned how to climb out of her crib.  For a while she was content to sit in her crib and wait for either me or Justin to get her, then climb out on her own…but as the week progressed, J started waking her and coaxing her out of her crib before we even knew they were up.  So over the weekend we bought her her big girl bed and on Thursday Justin set it up.  Complete with the "primp primp" (princess) sheets she picked out herself earlier in the week.  Once it was all set up, she wasted no time climbing in and arranging all her stuffed animals just so, then ordered us to turn on her fan, turn off the light and shut the door.  She then proceeded to go "night night".  Needless to say, she LOVES her new bed.

Friday morning J had a "field trip" to the farm for his preschool.  It wasn't a traditional "field trip" in the sense that we all met up at the farm rather than all arriving together via bus, but thats fine because it allowed us the freedom to leave as needed.  With Justin's help, I was able to get the three kids out the door for the morning out (he unfortunately had to work, so I was out solo with the kids, but thankfully other mom's were there and were able to help out when I needed to sit and feed B).  The highlights of the trip included the cow-train, ice cream sandwiches, and picking out their own pumpkins.  B thankfully slept in his stroller the entire trip, only waking up to eat once.  Once home the two older kids crashed in their beds for some solid naps, and B and I were the last ones standing.  No nap for this mama as he was up the entire time they were napping…but I did score some solid one on one time and sweet cuddles from my littlest little man.

Saturday we headed over to Grandma's to soak up a little more pool time and hang out with Aunt Barb, Aunt Sandy and Uncle Don.

Sunday was the Bear's breakfast at Aunt Barbs.  The kids were less than interested in the game, and we didn't last to half time.  Sunday night Justin and I had a night out (with B in tow) while Aunt Sandy and Uncle Don watched the two older kiddos.

This morning Justing helped me wrangle the kids into the car bright and early to catch a morning at the zoo with Aunt Sandy and Uncle Don.  Justin stayed home to get some chores done around the house - the kind that don't get done with kids around.  The kids had a blast.  Again, B slept the vast majority of the trip, either in the stroller or in the sling, waking to fill a diaper and eat.  J said his favorite part was the paddle boat ride - we hadn't done that yet so it was a first for him!
