Getting closer...

So in my last post I mentioned that my goal was to get a hospital bag packed...Well, does making the list count?  I've been so busy with work (working over-time) that I am quite tired by the time I actually get home.  But after I finish this post I fully intend to start getting things in order.  I have my list ready, I just need to find all the items on it.  If any of you have any helpful ideas as to what to pack, or what I may forget to put on the list or in the bag, please share them with me.  Seeing as how I have no idea what all to expect, I'm fairly certain there will be items in the bag that are not needed, or items that are needed but left at home.  Have no fear though, the spare phone charger, and both cameras (with spare batteries for the point-and-shoot) will be packed...

Otherwise not much new has happened.  My friend Stacie was in town this week/week and a half-ish for a networking conference, and was staying at the house.  Unfortunately I was working most of the days and didn't get to spend much time with her, between my work schedule and the conference hours (I'm a bit of a old lady lately, going to bed far earlier than is considered normal for an adult).  All I know is that I will miss having her around and catching up with her, though I'm 100% positive that the dogs will miss as well (in fact I'm pretty certain they were more excited to see her come into the house during this past week then when Justin or I came home - I guess that's what happens when you take the dogs running and on hour long hikes...).  The dogs are sad and keep staring at the front door, or going to check to see if she's come home yet.

Justin ordered the running boards for his new truck, so hopefully he can install them this week, cause it is increasingly difficult for me to hoist my body up into it.  Ideally (to me anyway, Justin sees it differently) we take the truck to the hospital when the time comes since it is much bigger, and should be easier for me to find a semi-comfortable position for the drive.  Having the running boards attached before labor starts is a bit of a determining factor.

But speaking of installs, this morning we had the friendly Sergent down at Phoenix Fire Station #56 install the car seat bases into both my car and Justin's car.  So when the big day does arrive, we will be able to get the monkey home safely.  Apparently it was much easier that either of us had anticipated it being, though I'm sure what took the Sergent 20 min to show/explain to us would have taken us hours of reading the instructions on our own.  Either way, we know now that the car seat is properly installed and that our baby will be safe.

And lastly, as promised, Alex was able to get me the finished pictures from the maternity photo shoot she did for us. All the pictures turned out amazing, and we can't thank her enough for being our personal photographer lately! Below are a few of our favorites. Enjoy
