...but its not for lack of trying!
Justin and I took the dogs on a long walk Saturday morning, and mom and I walked them for almost 2 hours last night. And as far as I can tell all it accomplished is making me sore and uncomfortable! But who knows...maybe it helped a little?
I did get a bunch of items off the to-do list this weekend (mostly some of the cleaning and organizing in nursery, and putting away 2+ weeks worth of my own clean clothes, yes, call me lazy, its all good). I think I can speak for Justin and myself when I say that we are ready to meet this little one! My bag is pretty much packed with the exception of the few items I use up until they go in. I don't know if Justin has packed a bag for himself, or if he's just going to wing it...I haven't seen any forward movement in that direction, however he will not be needing nearly as much "stuff" as I do (but isn't it always that way with guys, regardless of the occasion?).
Today I'm running on empty. I didn't sleep well, or really at all, last night. First time throughout the pregnancy I couldn't get comfortable. Sleeping on one side cause some pain to go shooting through my hip, while sleeping on the other side put a lot of strain on my abdominal ligaments, which are now stretched to their max, and possibly bruised from kicks/punches (tender to the touch). Every 10-15 minutes I was "tossing and turning" (or at least what you would call the equivalent of tossing and turning, as its no easy feat to move my whale of a body at the moment). On top of that I was having some Braxton Hicks contractions every 30 minutes or so....and kept praying that they would develop into "real" contractions. But alas, they did not, and I eventually fell asleep, only to be woken up for work 2 hours later...FUN!
Here's to longer walks after work (hopefully followed by some foot rubs!)
I did get a massage on Saturday evening, and it was GLORIOUS! I informed Justin that if we are still pregnant this weekend, I will be going back, as it was the best I'd felt in a long time...If only the feeling would last longer!
