So Jayce is now officially 4 months old! He had his dr appointment, and is now weighing in at 15 lbs, 1 oz (56th percentile), and is 25.5" tall (72nd percentile). He also had is second series of shots, and handled this much better than the 2 months ones. Just a few minutes of crying, then a lot of sleeping. We didn't even need the baby tylenol this time, Woo Hoo!
Aside from that, it's been pretty quiet around here. We are slowly finding our groove, with Jayce inching towards taking a fewer, longer naps during the day (instead of several 30-45 minute ones). This makes me happy, cause it's really hard to get anything done around the house when I only have 30 minutes at a time to do it.
Grandma says Jayce is starting to enjoy his time in the pool at her house more every day. They go in for about 30 minutes on most days she has him. He is now splashing freely and giggling when she spins him around in their games. I've seen a little of this carrying over into bath time too. After Jayce gets his "scrub down" finished, I take the newborn sling out of the tub and help him to sit up in the water "on his own". He now tries to catch the bath toys that are floating around, and slaps his hands down and giggles when the get pushed out of his reach. It's amazing to watch him grow and discover new things every day...incredibly humbling.
