So I spent most of this week working to make up for the vacation last week. Needless to say, there aren't many pictures this week. Monday, I came home from work to find the kids playing hard in the backyard, in and out of the pool.
Wednesday after work we hung out inside and played with the tunnel and tent. We also managed to get lots of cuddles in…with baby of course!
Friday we had some grand plans for a play date at a splash pad, but the weather had other things in mind. We decided to brave the sprinkles for a brief walk with our friends, and ended up in a downpour…it was fun, but very wet.
Saturday the kids and I went to the Children's Museum again (this time without my camera). We had a blast, and the kids wore themselves out for sure. I managed a few (blurry) pictures with my cell…the kids love this place.
That afternoon we went over to a friends house to play in their little pool, and on the walk home I was definitely *that* mom, the one who lets their kids run around in just diapers (and shoes) in public…hey, they were happy and chatted the whole way home! I'm not complaining!
Today was a lazy day of cleaning (the house is a bit trashed after the crazy week of kid hand offs and early bedtimes for me) and playing.
This week also marks the beginning of the third trimester! It's quite bittersweet. I'm trying to soak up every last enjoyable moment of this pregnancy, as it is likely my/our last…but the kids have be running ragged and the way baby is positioned, I'm quite uncomfortable more often than not. I try not to complain, as I do love being pregnant…but combine all that with the summer heat that's setting in and this mama finds herself looking forward to August a little bit more every day.
