3 months!!!

It's hard to believe that 3 months ago our little monkey was born! We don't have a dr appointment this month, so we don't have any new official stats. However we did get the unofficial ones thanks to our bathroom scale and a tape measure. Unofficially, Jayce is 14.6 lbs, and about 25.5" long...unofficially.

Jayce started swim lessons last week, and isn't quite sure what to make of it. He isn't a fan of having water on his face, so I don't think he's ready to be dunked yet. He did enjoy eyeing up and flirting with the 6mo little girl in the class. Too bad that was her last class since she is now in the next age group. We enjoy our pool time, we just don't want to get our faces wet ;-)

We have officially moved Jayce out of the bassinet he has outgrown in our room and into the crib in his room. The first night was a little rough, but thanks to a suggestion from Tresea, we are now happy and comfortable in the nursery.

Mastering Tummy Time!!

Jayce is moving right along with his learning and development.  We have discovered we have fingers at the end of our hands, and that they taste really good.  We are also learning that we can grab and pull on things.  Some of our favorite items are mommy's hair and necklace, and the monkey on our baby gym.  Its even more fun when daddy puts the monkey back up, cause then we can pull it back down again!  Jayce hasn't rolled over yet, but he sure is getting close. Last night I woke up to escalating sounds of frustration, and discovered Jayce in his crib, stuck up against the side of the crib, on his side. Can't imagine how he got there or stuck, but can understand why he was uncomfortable! We have discovered a new toy that we love, tissue paper! He spent about a half an hour playing with the tissue paper from one of Richard's gifts, making it crinkle and trying to eat it...go figure. They always like the boxes and paper better than the toys anyway, right?
