Swim Class

Monday and Tuesday Jayce was with Grandma Karen.  According to her, Jayce has been pretty fussy, but when I get home, he's nothing but smiles and giggles.  Daddy hasn't noticed too much of the fussy baby Grandma claims to be babysitting.  I think Jayce is starting to figure out that her house is where he goes when Mommy and Daddy have to work.  Oh well, he'll get over it.  Its not like he isn't getting any attention.  Grandma tries to play with him, and keep him happy, and go swimming.  One day at a time.

Friday Grandma Karen came over so that she could go with us to swim class.  We got some great pictures, though Jayce was a little distracted by Grandma's presence, and didn't really want to work.  We did get a few minutes of floating in, but mostly he just wanted to look around and see everyone (and flirt with all the little girls in his class).

Is it time to swim yet?

I'm not so sure about this...

This part isn't so bad...
No, its not bad at all!

Flirtin' with the ladies

Saturday we went shopping at a baby sale with Daddy, and got a few clothes for Jayce (as we are thisclose to growing out of the 3-6 month clothes, and we don't have much in the next size).  So we should be good for now.  That night we went out to dinner with some of Mommy's friends from work, and we watched a haboob blow in, and through.  Jayce didn't even seem to notice.  He was too busy playing with the ladies from work, as well as the people at the neighboring tables (he is such a ladies man).  We left before it started raining, but by the time we got home, oh man was it pouring.  I was able to get Jayce into the house, but by the time I went to open the back door to let the dogs out, the wind was blowing so heavily, and the rain was coming down so hard, that it was blowing into the house.  Needless to say I had to shove the dogs outside so they could use the bathroom.  Then they came running back into the house, soaking wet, and slipping all over the tile floor (it was a good thing I didn't get around to mopping yet).  With the dogs being all full of energy with no outlet, Jayce was up until 1030 watching them play, and wasn't having any of my attempts to put him down earlier.  When he did go down though, he slept till 645am on Sunday!

Out on the town

Sunday morning, Jayce woke up in a sunny mood.  He had breakfast, we played for a bit, he took a nap while mommy got some laundry done.  Then after his next meal it was off to church.  He was a charmer there, and fell asleep half way thorough (I'm sure the slow music of the day, along with the heat in the church had something to do with it).  After grocery shopping, it was off to Grandma's for some swimming with mommy, and play time with Aunt Barb.  After dinner, it was back home and to bed.  Amazingly Jayce went down last night around 730, and didn't wake up until we got to the Park and Ride to meet Grandma (he even slept through his morning diaper change - he was one tired baby).

All done!
